Yeah well I loved my XP but my computer was dying and I had to get Windows 8..
Today my 8 has been giving me fits..
not opening a page or not maxing and other dumb things that were fine yesterday..
FR is OK but not other sites..
cant get Bing or Google to work..
Is this related to the death of XP ???
Nana, I don’t think your problem ties in with the end of XP. Probably just coincidental.
Yep. They came and took away my XP box and left a Windows 7 box in it’s place. I’m struggling.

Hmmm. That's interesting. I recently got hold of an old laptop running XP, and I had that exact problem. Other search engines (e.g. Duck Duck Go) worked fine. The machine was totally clogged up with crapware and remnants of old sofware loads, and it was very sluggish. I did a total reload, and now it works like a champ, with no problem with Bing or Google.
It has nothing to do with XP's demise, but there's something you have that's blocking those sites, but I have no idea what it is.
No Windows 8 has big problems.
Windoze 8/8.1 finally pushed me over the edge and I bought a Mac. The machine with Win 8 got overwritten with Ubuntu.
