Today earth is in inferior conjunction for an observor on Mars, but I doubt he/she/it would see the earth transit the disk of the sun. Anyway the photo was taken last week. So not a light bouncing off a Martian astronomer’s telescope.

Venus-near-max-transit across Sun

Probably not, but I shot this one of the transit of Venus in June of 2012...
