When someone you may not like says they want people to “fight for their constitutional rights”, they should be applauded, not fought against

Sincerity is everything,
if you can fake that,
you got it made.

As I recall GW signed a bill that would build a border fence, after the election, he had K Baily pull the funding for that same fence.

I don’t know if any particular politician is sincere about any particular thing they say. You probably don’t know either (though assuming in the negative, you’ll probably be right more than most of the time), but if a particular thing is applauded and supported maybe they’ll say more of it, and heaven forbid, maybe they’ll start doing parts of what they say about a particular thing. That’s part and parcel of politics.

There no good reason to oppose wanting people to “fight for their constitutional rights”. Even if a politician out-of-favor says it.

Yes, the man was as good as his word.... a pity his word was no good..
