Aaron Del Mar the Cook County Republican Party chairman whos up for re-election is the latest local GOP leader to get tangled up in a particularly nasty divorce.

Aaron Del Mar has been roundly criticized as a former Democratic operative and supporter of Hillary Clinton who joined the Republican Party to seize power and commit sabotage. He is notable for failing to recruit and slate candidates. His private life rivals that of Slick Willie.
What an idiot...
Why is the Sun-Times trying to destroy him if he is a mole for the Dems?
The guy leads a life that is so completely outrageous that it cannot help making news. Paternity suits, divorce and child support issues, running a business that provides “show girls” to poker parties, stag parties, and casino nights and the like.
As for leadership, Del Mar failed to recruit any candidates to run against the Democrats for county offices in 2012 and 2014. A few candidates made the ballot without Del Mar’s help in 2012. In the recent primary, almost every Republican position on the ballot was empty.
And we wonder why C(r)ook County has such banner success with Republicans...
And it is after all Chicago the town that knows how....Vote him out out out
The GOP in Illinois is an utter joke.
Interesting
Illinois.
Actually MOST of the ILLINOIS GOP are DEmovrats.
The Illinois Tea Party just finished pushing BRUCE Rauner down peoples throats as candidate for Gov.
I have been a Republican and active in Chicago and Have never ONCE seen Bruce Rauner. He paid off everyone and they supported him NOW he is the Nominee and he is hell bent on pushing for AMNESTY!
The Illinois Minutemen have reunited to fight this creep and the rest of the DEMOCRAT Republicans in Illinois

Rumor has that Del Mar endorsed Rauner after receiving substantial campaign contributions.
The State of Illinois also fined a jewelry store, in which Del Mar holds a minority interest, $1,000.00 for illegally acting as a pawn shop without the appropriate business licenses.
Publicly, Del Mar claimed to be opposed to pawn brokers, but privately...
EVERYONE Except me received money from Bruce Rauner
Fact: Rauner made all of his money giving thousands to Democrats in return for earning millions in managing union pension plans. He is a hypocrite on union issues.
Fact: Rauner is openly pro-abortion and cagey on the issue of gay marriage but says he supports same sex civil unions. Rich Miller of Capitol Fax predicts he will support gay marriage after the primary.
Fact: Rauner is Rahm’s best friend and has been his close political ally for decades. Rahm’s staff has made it clear he wants Rauner to win the governor’s office. One thing Rauner will be pushing through is Rahm’s casino.
Fact: Rahm got Rauner’s firm an FCC exemption to allow the SBC deal to go through - earning Rauner’s firm 1/2 billion in six months - using Rahm’s insider connections.
Fact: Rauner gave Democrat Ed Rendell thousands of dollars in his campaign for governor in Pennsylvania and when Rendell was elected, Rauner’s firm received millions in state pension fee business.
Fact: Rauner used his clout to get his daughter into Walter Payton Prep when she didn’t have the test scores she needed.
Fact: Rauner has given $500K to the Illinois Policy Institute. A Roeser employee said that Rauner has given $500K to Roeser. State Board of Election reports say that Rauner gave Roeser $30K just last fall alone.
Fact: Illinois Policy Institute’s Elizabeth Christie is Rauner’s co-finance chair along with Ron Gidwitz - who heavily funded Joe Walsh’s campaign in 2012.
Fact: Joe Walsh just had a town hall with Rauner and now John Tillman is having a joint appearance with Rauner. Walsh’s main radio sponsor - Dick Uihlein was also on Rauner’s advisory committee for governor and his heavily supporting his campaign. Uihlein is Tillman/Proft’s main donor - almost completely responsible for their funding.
Fact: Until last week, Tillman’s associate Bob Costello was the treasurer of Bruce Rauner’s term limits initiative
Fact: Rauner has also given money to for the Good of Illinois and Adam escorted Rauner to a pro-life dinner in Spring.
Fact: Self-proclaimed conservative leaders are selling out and confusing tea party members and not talking about his background and some of them are getting paid to do it.
Fact: Bruce Rauner is worse than a RINO - he’s Rahm Emanuel’s Democrat in the GOP race for governor.
Fact: Tea party conservatives should be very resentful, angry, and betrayed that these so-called “conservative” leaders are being well-paid to help Rahm’s pal Bruce Rauner win the nomination

2010 Flashback — Aaron Del Mar Enters Republican Politics
“Meanwhile, it seems top Republican leaders are turning on Palatine Township GOP Committeeman Gary Skoien as he seeks re-election following a domestic incident involving his wife and two other women at his Inverness home. Challenger Aaron Del Mar, a freshman Palatine councilman, says he has landed the backing of both Illinois Republican Party Chairman Pat Brady of St. Charles and Cook County GOP boss Lee Roupas. Roupas has the seat Skoien had from 2004 to 2007 when he famously put a bounty on Chicago Mayor Richard Daley’s head for evidence that would lead to his conviction on corruption charges. Meanwhile, Del Mar has never voted in a Republican primary. According to voter records, the 31-year-old has only voted in one primary - a Democratic one. Del Mar tells Animal Farm that is because he is young. He hasn’t had much time, he says, to cast primary ballots. He says he voted in the 2008 Democratic primary to help drag out that parties internal battles leading into the general election.” Source: Daily Herald

Well gosh, I hereby endorse the other fellow! Chris Cleveland.

Sounds decent to me. Graduate of Princeton, won a prize for debate. Got his political start as a staffer for conservative 1 term US Rep from NY Fred Eckert (who lost to Louise Slaughter in 1986). He’s the GOP Committeeman for the 43rd Ward, Lincoln Park. Republicans who win statewide carry that ward.
Here’s some more info on Del Mar

He may or may not be completely justified in his anger toward the guy who cuckolded him but he’s clearly a douchebag that no serious political origination would want.
He’s also a former professional fighter with a record (as far as I can ascertain) of 4-1! Possibly he has some roid rage issues. A pity he couldn’t direct that rage at the people destroying this state and country.
