In late March, President Obama took a week-long trip through Europe which included a stop of less than 24 hours in Brussels, Belgium for meetings with the European Union and NATO. The president stayed at The Hotel, a twenty-seven story hotel in the center of the city. The estimated cost for the president's stay, including about two weeks for an advance team, was $1,522,646.36.
Despite reports that the president travelled with an entourage of 900, the Justification and Approval documents only indicate a need for "283 Lodging Rooms." However, sometimes more than one hotel is used during VIP trips.

Did that include greens fees?

How many White House tours would that pay for?
This guy is a master of deception.
Wow, someone should tell him the stuff from the mini-bar isn’t free!
I noticed that Fiji water in hotels costs a lot. So, I’m not surprised.
“The estimated cost for the president’s stay, including about two weeks for an advance team, was $1,522,646.36.”
I guess that also includes the fumigation charges.
Relax of the $1.5M $1.2M was spent on mac daddies bath house visits.
America gifts its traitors well.
Nothing but the best for the King of Amerika.
islamist bilking of the United States.
What’s in your country’s wallet?
Yes, two weeks for the advanced team seems like quite a while to put all the snipers and what not in place.
I was wondering if two weeks has something to do with the life cycle of cockroaches or bed bugs.
Bad enough the way those pesky flies crawl about on The One’s face.
The Emperors of Rome lived like Econo Lodge travelers compared to Emperor Obama.
As my Dad (RIP) used to say
“nothing’s too good for the taxpayers”
If you took what the taxpayers spend in a year keeping the Obamas in style—in the White House and on their many vacations—and divided by 365, would it be more or less than $1.5 million a day?
The President costs up to $4 million per day!
I think a presidential candidate would get some traction if he campaigned on slashing the white house budget. Believe it or not it is how Toronto mayor Rob Ford got elected back in 2010. His big gripe was the office expense accounts city councilors got and abused and his frugal ways in comparison. Voters don’t like to hear of lavish spending by politicians and it is an untapped area in politics. One could simply show the grand excess of 0 to seriously dent the dims. It is a good way to jui jitsu the dims on their politics of envy.
Such a tactic would require an RNC and GOP presidential candidate who actually wanted to win instead of just wanting to clear the deck for a Democrat.
Who got harsher treatment from Romney and McCain, conservative Republicans or liberal Democrats?
True. I was just musing in general. The thing about lavish spending goes for politicians of all stripes. I did see this tactic used by Rob Ford in 2010 and he won with it. Not sure if he will win with it for reelection this year though. I could be wrong but I think the white house budget might be slashed from 1.5 billion down to say 100 million with little loss IMHO. Get rid of Air Force 1 and a lot of extraneous extras and it is quite doable. A lot of trips are slashable too.
