Getting our brand new and expensive embassy burned to the ground, diplomats and staff murdered and dragged through the streets and having classified crypto equipment and documents stolen damages America's influence in the region, and exposes US agents, intel and techniques to untold harm. At least on paper, POH-eeee-stan is an ally, this will create emnity between POK-eeee-stan and America. That's b).

It will provide a rallying point for POK-eee-stan's muslim extremists. That's c) and d).
