The names of the six-member jury panel that acquitted George Zimmerman in the shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin have been made public for the first time, after a new court order, records show.

Circuit Judge Debra Nelson, who had previously ordered the jurors' identifying information be kept confidential, granted access to the names in a ruling March 21.

If they’re harassed or injured as a result, can they sue the judge personally?

What good could revealing the names of jurors in any case, do? If anything, this practice would be a deterrent to performing ones civic duty.

Somebody should publish the Judge’s home address.

Now if these jurors are hunted down, persecuted and attacked, will the media report a word of it or to the contrary will they emphasize the cost of being a juror as a message to future juries that they had better rule as the Left wants?

constitutionally you have the right to face the accuser and that includes not having secret juries.

This was inevitable, correctly so.

the jurrors are always advised they do not have to speak to the press.

If anything, every juror should have the right to say no ONCE and the media obligated to comply. If anything the “no contact/interviews” request could be part of the court record.

That’s the whole idea. They only want government drones delivering politically correct verdicts.

Is this America or North Korea? Its looking more and more like a Communist country everyday..these jurors names should have been kept PRIVATE, unless they wanted their names released..now they will be harassed, death threats will be made against them, and they will lose their jobs

And what about other people who happen to have the same names? Can they sue the judge, too, if the Sons of Obama attack them?

I certainly hope so!

The left understands that their best chance for success NEXT TIME lues simply in making future jurors afraid.

Rest assured harm will prominently befall all these good, honestPeople.

Wonder if this applies to Mafia murder trials.

And how can this not affect future juries? I might fight being on a jury if my name might be made public. It might also affect the outcome of the trial if the jurors know that their names might be made public. So much for justice and a fair trial.

If I were one of the jurors and I were threatened or worse, I’d know exactly who I’d blame.

I think that’s the purpose. Deter future jurors from voting their conscience.

This beyotch ought to be disbarred, as should any lawyer representing the outers.

the right to face the accuser

the jurors are not the accusers.

the State would be the accuser

District Attorneys are not drawn form a pool of available citizens as far as I know
