After requests by Officer Klitch to search the vehicle, Roseen agreed. When the officer claimed he smelled marijuana in the trunk (despite it being a very windy day), Roseen was "detained" and the car driven to the Payette County Sheriff's office for a full search. Upon finding no illegal drugs, Roseen was released and issued a citation for inattentive/careless driving.
At least they didn't give him an anal cavity search like at least two cases in southwestern NM following a traffic stop.

Right, and also lucky for him he didn’t have say $500 or $1000 in cash on him, or they would have seized that in all likelihood.
This sh*t has got to stop, excuse my language.

"Trooper Klitch asked him, When is the last time you used any marijuana?"
When did the cop stop abusing minors?

We have a local cop that pulls this crap with everybody. Officer Swanson.

Read another article that more people are coming forward with similar treatment. This is really sad. We visited Idaho in 2010... would have been very disappointed to have been stopped based on our plates.

But, most importantly, the cop went home safe that night.
Am I right?

Gun owners should be watching this one carefully. From time to time, I’ve heard of drivers from ‘pro-gun ownership’ states being pulled over in places like NYC and DC due to the suspicion that the driver could have firearms in their vehicle.

Read the entire story from the Courthouse News link above. Very scary; his rights were violated from the start.

Giving Klitch permission to search his vehicle, however, proved to be a mistake, Roseen says.
Apparently...

All I have to say about this is, get over it. I mean, I was stopped so many times in my youth because I had long hair, searched, handcuffed while they did it, and even accused of planning a crime. Each time they let me go, no charges. It’s what they do. Fascists will always harasses us

UUHH...OOHH!! Here we go.

The Idaho cop should know that if he were transporting marijuana from Colorado to Washington, it would not be profitable since both state sell it LEGALLY.
Idaho what is wrong with you?

Well, that should provide many hours of entertainment given the numbers of Wash. plates attempting to traverse the I-da-Ho' land mass.

Bingham. Particularly Shelley. This one is total a hole.
I looked a bit and this Klutz trooper sounds like another typical jackboot.
Idaho is surrounded by states allowing medical, or just plain smoking, pot.
