ABC segment about manufacturing jobs coming back to US. Yes, some are coming back, but they’re not as high-paying as they used to be. The “experts” on the panel agree that Washington can do little to increase the jobs/wages. States can make an impact, but DC won’t really. (What? I thought govt had all the solutions.)

Say what you will about all the mandated coverages, with the exceptions of chiropractic care and mental health.It has been shown they only add about 1-1.5% to premium.

The offset is in that the carriers in a given state can offer a standard policy rather than an infinite number of custom-built cafeteria-coverage policies.

Doubling and Tripling of premium comes from “Guaranteed Issue”. Where those with “pre-existing conditions”(AIDS and cancer patients) wait until they get sick and then buy coverage.

This scenario, through adverse selection, creates the death spiral of premium hyper-inflation and benefit reduction.

GI completely eliminates the definition of “insurance” from the so-called “healthcare” industry. They can no longer insure healthy clients against unexpected medical expenses at a reasonable price.

CNN dodged a bullet regarding MH370. The Chinese ship that picked up some debris yesterday determined that the debris was NOT from MH370. Whew! Now, CNN has another week of potential wall-to-wall coverage of the missing flight MH370.

I have stayed out of the most of the threads regarding MH 370. I am very familiar with aviation, ACARS, INMARSAT, radar and non-radar environments, and the like. But there was so much conflicting, and downright misinformation, with this event, that the speculation became a joke.

The "closure" story that the Malaysian government gave to the world this week stinks to high heaven. A "ping" from INMARSAT, ran through an new algorithm that was invented just last week, and using the "Doppler Effect" of mathematics of whether the shift of direction of the airliner, based on 6 similar evaluations of pings from INMARSAT using the new algorithm, determined it went south instead of north and crashed into the ocean - was a complete joke.

"He told the BBC: "We have been dealing with a totally new area. We've been trying to help an investigation based on a single signal once an hour from an aircraft that didn't include any GPS data, any time and distance information. "So this really was a bit of a shot in the dark and it's to the credit of our scientific team that they came up and managed to model this." Mr McLaughlin continued: "They managed to find a way in which to say just a single ping can be used to say the plane was both powered up and travelling, and then by a process of elimination - comparing it to other known flights - establish that it went south."

It boggles the mind that the world swallowed this tripe. The airliner may well be at the bottom of the ocean, however, there is no court on the planet that would have taken that "evidence" at trial as singular and definitive proof.

Matt Dowd says we will still have the problems with medical care/insurance that we had before obamacare was passed, but he doesn’t think the 2014 elections will be about obamacare.

David Plouffe - the law is working!

Krystal - no democrat running for office agrees with Plouffe. (Hey, what’s he doing on ABC?)

Donna Brazile - dems running for office will have a tough time running away from obamacare - blames governors of states who haven’t expanded Medicare (or Medicaid - not sure what se said)

Boyles dares callers to challenge him on 0bama and chides them for not being willing to debate it. He’s also been talking on-air to all the players who are exposing 0bama.

Panel thinks Republicans will pick safe candidate: Jeb Bush - except Donna Brazile..... she brings up Rand Paul as a possibility in the Tea Party circles. Krystal doesn’t agree with Paul, but does think he has a message.

Matthew Dowd - money matters much less than the message (referring to candidates going out to LV to “kiss the ring” of Sheldon Adelson.)

Once Republicans win this coming November, the very first thing needing to be done is to put old
media on notice that we won’t be bowing down to their whims and perceptions. Reince Priebus is
doing that now by saying the GOP won’t bow down to the media’s version of fairness for debates.

The third party payer system was already in a death spiral with skyrocketing premium costs--before King O tenure. This was precisely how Obamacare was shoved down our throats.

Albeit, mandatory third party coverage for more services was the antithesis of what should have occurred. Medical savings accounts (MSA) with catastrophic insurance is the only viable option.
