I think the reason obama gave internet rights away is because of what we are doing right now. Obama gets away with a lot, but I think he realizes he could never get away with stopping freedom on the internet. Young people would be climbing the White House fence. This way whoever controls the internet will be blamed for taking away our freedom of speech; our free speech and anyone in the world who says things the left disagrees with.
