I think I have a bit different take on this. I think the libs are well aware that it’s the truth, regardless of who says it. It’s that they’re not about to accept the truth if delivered by a white person, but they’ll begrudgingly listen to a black person, one of their own, saying the same thing.

It’s rather like if I am angry with a family member and in my anger say that they are selfish and rude, that’s fine. If another family member agrees with me and says the same thing, fine. However, let someone else come up to me and tell me that my family member is selfish and rude, well, I will jump to the defense of my family member.

Don’t know if that makes sense, but that’s how I read it.
