Putin invites Obama to consider international action to stabilize Ukraine

MOSCOW, March 29, /ITAR-TASS/. In a telephone conversation with his US counterpart Barack Obama Russian President Vladimir Putin drew attention to the continuing rampage by extremists in Ukraine, who are committing acts of intimidation against civilians, bodies of power, and law enforcers in different parts of Ukraine and in Kiev and do so with impunity, the Kremlin’s press-service has said.

In this context the Russian leader suggested considering likely steps by the international community to help stabilize the situation in Ukraine. It was agreed that Russian and US foreign ministers would discuss specific parameters of such joint work in the near future.

Also, Putin pointed to the external blockade of Trans-Dniestria, which posed considerable obstructions to the region’s people in their everyday life - to the freedom of movement and normal trading and economic activities. It was pointed out that Russia sought a fair and comprehensive settlement of the Trans-Dniestrian problem and was interested in the effective operation of the existing negotiating format five-plus-two

The Kremlin transcript says President Putin raised the issues of continued extremism in Ukraine and the blockade in Trans-Dniestria.

It only says the foreign ministers on both sides will meet soon. Nothing about the position of the two sides narrowing. There is no agreement.

Obama replies “Yeah, Vlad, I got problems with “extremists” over here too...they call themselves the Tea Party”

Putin is already feeling the economic pain from his lackeys.

If Obama had a pair of cajones, he would call Putin up directly and tell him to stand down and hand the Ukraine bases back to the rightful owners.

At that point Vlad, we can discuss anything you want.

Since Obamabi doesn’t have a pair, he’ll give in to negotiations without preconditions.

Its Putin’s turn to offer Obama that “off-ramp.”

There’ll be a deal in the works to stabilize Ukraine in exchange for the West’s acceptance of the reversion of Crimea to Russian rule.

Nothing here for any one to lose sleep over. The West is playing with a weak hand and knows it.

Is Putin setting up an excuse to send his military into Ukraine? It sounds like he might use the extremist as an excuse to go in. I wonder if Berry brought up his flexibility?

“The Kremlin transcript says President Putin raised the issues of continued extremism in Ukraine and the blockade in Trans-Dniestria.”

This is all Russian disinformation being used as a false pretext and psyops for the upcoming Russian invasion and annexation of the remaining territories of the Ukraine, Moldova, Transdniestria, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia.

Putin is playing Odumbo like a fiddle. Odumbo is actually dumb enough to go along with Putin’s charade.

You don’t need to call up someone unless to present them with a fait accompli.

Putin holds all the cards here. If the West says “no” he still has options on the table.

I disagree. Russia will be hurt severely by the economic sanctions that will ratchet up if they persist.

Russia can only win a simple hand. They have little in the way of chips. Over the long term, they lose financially and lose credibility as a respected nation.

My prediction...
How will Obama save face?
We will aid the takeover of the Ukraine
peacefully and he will win another Nobel peace
prize for defanging NATO.
Those extremists will probably end up here
in the good old USA.

This is just a completely baseless guess but, I just feel I know how Obama thinks. He is a complete pacifist and he just wants this problem to go away so he can golf.

“Crimea is a done deal for Russia. The West started it. Putin is finishing it.”

The last time we looked the “West” did not illegally invade and annex Ukrainian territory in the Crimea to start a military conflict, but Russia did. Consequently, you must be an apologist for Russia and its campaign of disinformation and psyops for its continuing aggressions and breaches of the peace.

It should also be observed Putin and Russia started the civil conflict in the Ukraine by using criminals such as Yanukovych as KGB-FSB agents to destablize the government and economy of the Ukraine as preparations for a Russian invasion and annexation of the Ukraine.
