On the other hand, I do have some concern about crazy/mentally ill
being used as a political weapon by government.
There's the obvious prohibited person
from our national gun control laws, yes, but moreover imagine what could be done if it was 'crazy' to oppose the government's policies on anything and that qualification was used to appoint judges — very little change to what we have now, yes, but it would surely cement the direction we are going and make the entire judicial branch a defacto enemy of the Constitution.
