Riyadh (AFP) - US President Barack Obama meets Saudi King Abdullah Friday as mistrust fuelled by differences over Iran and Syria overshadows a decades-long alliance between their countries.

Obama, who is due to arrive in Saudi Arabia late in the afternoon on a flight from Italy, is expected to hold evening talks with the monarch on a royal estate outside Riyadh.

Saudi Arabia has strong reservations about efforts by Washington and other major world powers to negotiate a deal with Iran on its nuclear programme.

It is also disappointed over Obama's 11th-hour decision last year not to take military action against the Syrian regime over chemical weapons attacks.

Saudi analyst Abdel Aziz al-Sagr, who heads the Gulf Research Centre, said Saudi-US relations are "tense due to Washington's stances" on the Middle East, especially Iran.

That is an understatement of a RAT politician that ran on the platform of returning the US to a position of Global respect after slamming his predecessor for saddling America with 8 years of "Failed Foreign" policy.

Obama can fix this by bowing far lower to his Saudi masters, keeping the price of Saudi oil high, denying American oil and gas to Americans, continuing to fund and arm Al Qaeda, and renting out the US military as directed by the Saudis.

John McCain says so.

This ‘drop’ on Syria episode really irked the Saudis...from what I’ve read. They can’t understand the whole logic in DC, the characters running things, or the end-result? Oddly, the Turks are talking about some mini-war going on with Syria, and I suspect that the Saudis are all happy over that and pumped up about the Turkish leadership.

Has the media finally given up the fantasy that we had all kinds of foreign relations problems 6 or 7 years ago because the world hated that stupid cowboy Bush and that Obama’s sophisticated diplomacy would make the world love us again?

The only countries where Michelle has not accompanied Obama are those using Sharia Law. If you ask a Muslim whether Obama is a Muslim they’ll say yes. Why? Because a Muslim can not bring a non-Muslim wife to a Sharia ruled country.

The Saudis are PO’d at 0bama and his monkey-boy Kerry bungling the whole Syria deal. The Saudis have been working for years to dump Assad so they can build their pipelines to Europe. 0bama and Kerry came off looking like total fools in the international community.

It’s no wonder the Saudis are trying to cut a deal with the Russians on middle east policy. They aren’t stupid, and they won’t tie themselves to losers like us.

This trip will be another international embarassment for 0bama. We will be even weaker when he returns home.
