Here is your tough question for the day: Imagine, if you will, a slight twist to the Schindler's List story. As we all know, Schindler and the Nazis both benefited from doing business together. We also know that Schindler had a higher calling. Schindler was using his own power and money to save as many children as possible from the Nazi gas chambers. But here is the twist. Schindler is running low on funds. He comes knocking on your door, explains his plight and asks for a donation. From this meeting you know two things; 1. Schindler is doing business with the Nazis, 2. Schindler is attempting to save children's lives.
You are faced with this decision. Simply, do I or do I NOT donate to his cause?
In this specific case, I choose “not donate.”
Answer: you go to Romans 14, read it, and then become fully persuaded in your own mind on this particular issue. This is exactly what Romans 14 is addressing.
