Recently Russia has been having war games with their large military formations based near the Baltics. They could be mobilized within hours to attack NATO countries in the Baltics.

Estonia has an active army of 4,000 troops. The joke in Lithuania is that they have two tanks. One doesn’t run and one doesn’t shoot!

Excepting Poland all NATO troops are too far away to do anything before Russia creates facts on the ground. This seems to be by design. The kenyan is all talk and no action.

(imho) and may I be correct. I think the headline is sensationalism. I believe the Baltics are not in danger at this time. Eastern Ukraine is there for the taking, and obama would do nothing more than talk (imho). The only problem is when obama talks obama places people in danger and obama probably does this intentionally. I believe Eastern Ukraine has invited putin to come in and annex them. If putin should go further or if obama should make another misstep and put us into this mess, then my opinions will not matter a whiff for nothing (imho) and yes, I truly believe you will be fully correct by saying we'd have a whole new ball game and war is coming.

Nothing at all, other than a Russian mention of treatment of native Russians in Estonia last week.

There have been some movements caught by twitterers of top-line, recently modernized/westernized brigades (what we would call “Heavy Brigades”) in the last few days, though, on an axis toward Donetsk and Southern Ukraine, as well as some Twitter reports of a Battalion-strength unit on train in Belarus.
