Ukraine is raising the price of gas for domestic consumers by more than 50 per cent from May 1 and will implement further rises under a fixed timetable until 2018, an official of state energy company Naftogaz said on Wednesday.

The step, which will be widely unpopular with ordinary Ukrainians who have grown used to subsidized gas prices from the Soviet era, were taken in response to demands by the International Monetary Fund.

Wow, the Ukraine has been taken over by dark forces and Russia hasn’t even made their move yet. I bet Putin promises cheap gas prices.

Welfare is slavery even when the recipient is a nation.

The whole country will be begging Russia to liberate them soon enough. They’ve been taken hostages by the globalist cabal.

Valdimir will not bow to the banking bastards of the globalist Ponzi debt funded monetary banking system so the people of the Ukraine will be used as pawns to try and force Putin to bow. Time for a few thousand more of these bastards to leap from tall buildings and see if they can fly.

Note this is before Gazprom has reduced its rebate to Ukraine. On the say so of IMF based on some economic research papers re the fuel market in Ukraine. The ordinary Ukrainian will be squeezed - but probably no worse than the Greeks. However the political situation in Ukraine is much more volatile than even the Greek one.

Too bad for the Ukrainians because the Greeks are being absolutely raped financially by the Globalist Banksters. Its like the Wiemar Republic times over there with people literally eating out of dumpsters, ineffectual puppet leaders, the rise of ultra-nationalist parties, huge demonstrations in the streets. The Ukrainians are entering an era of high tech neo-serfdom.

Before everyone gets their panties in a wad and starts spitting decorative panty buttons, Israel is bringing its Leviathan gas field in the Mediterranean Sea online.

It should be operational in 2015-16 and supply enough gas to the brainless, brainwashed European clods for a few years.

For those people who haven’t been following the news, Britain is sitting on a gas reserve that’s big enough to warm every Briton in the UK and fry enough fish and chips in the UK for a minimum of 160 years.

Yes, I agree. I was sarcastic, but left the “/s” out. Sorry.
BTW Greece may well have a new government crisis looming. The powers that be (IMF, EU) and their backers demand of Greece to change the definition of fresh milk to 11 days (from 5 days) old, otherwise no more loans. All so that the local Greek farmers can be put to the sword by foreign competitors. Apparently some MPs are balking and the slim government majority may disappear. I wonder when and where we will see the politicians, bureaucrars, international bankers hanging from the lamp posts. Unless humankind has evolved massively the last twenty years or so it is coming.

Zerohedge.com just put up a blogpost on the specific subject we discussed, both Ukraine and Greece are mentioned. A must read:

And Now The Real Economic Pain Begins As IMF Unleashes $27BN Bailout In "Near Bankrupt" Ukraine

Note the last paragraph: Finally, if everything goes according to plan, Ukraine has a sterling role model to look forward to. Quoting German FinMin Wolfi Schauble from yesterday - "If ever we were to reach a situation in which we had to stabilize Ukraine, we would have many experiences from the Greek case to draw on." In other words, Greece is now an example of "successful" economic reforms. Goodbye Ukraine, it was nice knowing you.
