BOISE, March 21, 2014 On Thursday, Idaho Governor Butch Otter (R) signed a bill, which would effectively nullify future federal gun laws, by prohibiting state enforcement of any future federal act relating to personal firearms, a firearm accessories or ammunition.
S1332 passed the house by a vote of 68-0 and the senate by a vote of 34-0. Alaska and Kansas have also passed similar laws.
Erich Pratt, Director of Communications for Gun Owners of America, cheered the governors action. By signing this nullification bill into law, Idaho has joined an elite class of states that are telling the feds to get lost especially when it comes to unconstitutional gun control infringements

Way to go, Idaho!
Cool!
Why on earth did we ever decide the feds had enough brains to dictate our 2nd Amendment rights in the first place? Seems like we, the people, should be dictating to those idiots. Not the other way around.
States ought to nullify all federal laws at this point.
I know I have.
They all need to make sure their elected representatives to Congress toe the state’s line on any gun legislation coming before them, or face recall.
It would be a bad mistake to interpret this as all for show, but it will be.
But, but, 126% of Americans want “common sense” gun safety reforms such as mandatory background checks, “assault weapons” bans, etc.

That’s great news from Idaho. Now, if all the rest would get in line with the same thinking, we’d have a good start on reining in this fedgov criminal enterprise.
RIGHT ON Idaho!!!
Nullification....
The principal that really began the U.S. Civil War.
I do wish NM would do this. We have a lot of state reps who claim they are pro gun Democrats. Let’s see if they are.
Good grief man, don’t you mean 56????
LOL
The 1st couldn’t follow itself.
1 down, 49 to go...
Exactly!
Seriously? Wow! :-)
I don't know history of federal gun regulations for civilians very well. But as a consequence of parents not making sure that their children are being taught the federal government's constitutionally-limited powers, please consider the following.
Not only was Constitution-ignoring FDR able to seize the opportunity provided by Great Depression to unconstitutionally expand the federal government's powers in the name of feeding low-information citizens left hungry by Great Depression, but he & Congress also slipped in constitutionally indefensible federal gun laws for civilians in the name of addressing gangster problems.
Franklin Roosevelt: The Father of Gun Control
Woo-hoo!
Well, does it prohibit Federal enforcement? /s
