Actually Zerohedge has had a few other pieces showing that the initial 3 - 9 $bn in loans to Ukraine will end directly in Moscow's (and/or Beijing's) coffers. There may be some legal wrangling, but if history is any guide, eventually Ukraine (or rather US and European tax payers) will have to pay up.

Apparently Ukraine owes China as well in the same type of government bonds. So by pushing Ukraine into a trade deal with the EU, EU and the US will have to take over all the debts to Russia, as well as having to help Ukraine to pay full price on the Russian gas. What a deal!
