Good grief! How do you go from 3 dead to 8 to 108 missing and miss that info? Do the news orgs not even care about those NOT living in a city?
That area is pretty isolated, despite its proximity to Seattle. There aren’t a lot of ways to get heavy equipment in there to uncover these sites.
This is a totally misleading headline. The emergency services people reported that they logged 108 reports concerning missing people. Logged calls does not equal missing people. From the looks of the before and after aerial photos there were not enough houses involved to account for that many people.

But also, this happened on a weekend, and the media doesn’t work on weekends. Besides, everyone was looking for MH Flight 370.
