“Is there a grassy knoll anywhere in the southern Indian Ocean?..”
;}
The plane isn’t in Pakistan?!?!.
What it did is reveal how half baked theories and paranoia become “facts” solely because they are often repeated. This is particularly revealing about the psyche of conspiracy theorists in general.
Amateur Radio
In the past there were frequent amateur radio operations from Amsterdam Island between 1987 and 1998. There was even a resident radio amateur operator in the 1950s using callsign FB8ZZ. [9]
As of January 2014, Clublog listed Amsterdam and St Paul Islands as the seventh most-wanted DXCC entity.[10] On January 25, 2014 a DX-pedition landed on Amsterdam Island using M/V Braveheart and began amateur radio operations from two separate locations using callsign FT5ZM. The DX-pedition remained active until February 12, 2014 and achieved over 170000 two-way contacts with amateur radio stations worldwide.
The orange rectangle that was just located and marked with flares and GPS was mentioned as a possible life raft by a talking head on FOX earlier. How long would water or other supplies last on a raft?
His guess is as good as any, I suppose........................
It wouldn’t be exactly “losing it”, if it (most likely) went to Pakistan. The Malaysians and Paks are kissin cousins.
Malaysia may not have been in on the deal, they are just stupid enough not to know it and even worse, not really care. For sure they do not enjoy the negative limelight the whole world knowing they are maybe a too bit laid back.
I don’t really know but two weeks would seem a real stretch to me.
Next question for the Malaysian PM:
Why did the pilot fly it down there???
Yep --
and where their resources have been devoted until today has been in the Andamans in hopes of putting the blame on mechanical error and Boeing.
Older emergency beacons are located by analyzing Doppler shift and possibly time of arrival at more than one satellite.
Given current technology, this event should force the airlines into monitoring the position of all commercial flights. It also should cause some additional screening of pilots on these flights. They also need to review the problem of inflight cockpit access. Apparently, the cabin crews do have a way to get into the cockpit in an emergency.
I wonder how many large companies with frequent flyers will now tell their people to stay off of airlines operated by muslim countries with muslim pilots.
If orange sauare IS lifeboat as speculated on FOX
Wonder if they have the little machine to convert sea water to drinking. Food they could live longer water would be the first need
DRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR no kidding. Are these people for real!
Is it over yet?
fini ?
In that case want to call up Malyasian Airlines
and ask what the fare is from Kula Lumpur to the
Indian Ocean..........
Yet, among the many unanswered questions is what in the world was the plane flying around for 5+ hours in basically the same region and this meandering was not observed on radar or satellite?
