If Drudge figures he’ll owe, say, ten million in federal income taxes for 2014 (it’s probably a lot more), he is required to send in a quarter of that now.

Drudge is really paying an awful lot of money to prove a point. For him to owe $10 million in 2014 income taxes, he'd have to have income of around $25 million. The Obama tax for not having Obama-approved coverage is $95 or 1% of your income, whichever is greater. 1% of $25 million is $250,000. Drudge could certainly get compliant coverage for a tenth of that, which would be about $2000/month. He certainly is putting his money where his mouth is.

I heard Rush on this subjuce earlier, and should point out that it isn’t just small businessmen who have this problem. Anyone who has significant income that isn’t subject to witholding has to do the quarterly estimated payments. I’ve been doing that for years.
