Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: New French satellite images show possible debris from a missing Malaysian airliner deep in the southern Indian Ocean, Malaysia said on Sunday, adding to growing signs that the plane may have gone down in remote seas off Australia.
The latest lead comes as the international search for Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370 entered its third week, with still no confirmed trace of the Boeing 777 that vanished with 239 people on board.
"This morning, Malaysia received new satellite images from the French authorities showing potential objects in the vicinity of the southern corridor," the Malaysian Transport Ministry said in a statement. "Malaysia immediately relayed these images to the Australian rescue co-ordination centre." The statement gave no details as to whether the objects were in the same vicinity as the other possible finds in a vast swathe of some of the most inhospitable sea territory on Earth.
The first visual sighting of objects that might be linked to the plane boosted search operations on Sunday. Australian officials said a wooden cargo pallet, along with belts or straps, was spotted Saturday in a remote stretch of the southern Indian Ocean that has become the focus of an intense international search in recent days.
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott said Sunday there was "increasing hope" of finding the plane.

I would offer this scenario. Pilot has master plan to land in some “Stan” republic. Minutes before final radio contact, he’s started the plan, and co-pilot has weapon of some type on himself. Pilot tells co-pilot to input these turn-points and direction...mostly grinning over how easy this whole thing is.
Co-pilot puts in turn-points, except on last one...instead of north....puts south. Final radio contact, if you notice...co-pilot is the person talking, but never identifies himself or repeats what the controller had said. Generally, that would violate two taught standards of all pilots, and I think the young co-pilot knew the threat already.
A fight ensues...both mortally wounded, but the pilot is no longer able to stand or get into the pilot’s seat. Plane goes to high altitude and kills everyone onboard. Auto pilot is on, and carries out the directions of the co-pilot. Plane runs out of fuel. Jihad Joe and his friends at the Stan republic runway sit for four hours after the anticipated landing, then figure something bad happened to the plan, and leave.
No need to brag about this...because you’d like to repeat the episode again. Unless you find the plane, and find both guys with serious wounds in the cockpit....you will not be able to prove any of this. End of game? Wait for next game.
Many thanks for the info! If there’s other items consistent with aircraft items then that’s it.
