As the saying goes, pressure doesn't build character, it reveals it.

Methinks Senora Ellmers is feeling the heat.

Is this the best NC can do??? Ellmers sounds as liberal as Merkowski of AK. Both should be fired ASAP.

Ladies and gentleman I give you the true face and personality of a RINO and their contempt for the middle class.

This is how she treat her constituents? Who would vote for someone that treats you like a peasant?

Let's remember that Ellmers' enemies from her stunning 2010 defeat of the well-entrenched in both State and Federal Democrat politics, Bob Etheridge ("WHO are you?), might be having a hand in stirring the pot among Republicans in the current effort to discredit her.

A fierce opponent of Obamacare, and an advocate for pro-free-enterprise principles, she is a natural target of the 2 or 3 Democrat candidates who are opposing her, but conservative immigration purists might think twice before throwing the baby out with the bath water. Do they really want a former Perdue cabinet member or a well-known name from the music and entertainment industry to win the seat?

Just for the record, and from Ellmer's web site:

Meet Renee

Congresswoman Renee Ellmers

Official CRE Campaign PortraitSince first being elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2010, Congresswoman Renee Ellmers has become a leading voice on behalf of her constituents in the second district and the people of North Carolina. Ellmers currently sits on the powerful Energy and Commerce Committee where she focuses on healthcare, oversight, and communications and technology in their respective subcommittees. She is also chairwoman of the Republican Women’s Policy Committee (RWPC) – a new caucus comprised of all 19 female Republican members of the U.S. House of Representatives. In both of these roles she is working to generate new ideas and innovative ways of promoting conservative principles which will improve our economy and give a new voice to the challenges facing all Americans.

Congresswoman Renee Ellmers is a rising star and leader in the U.S. House of Representatives where she works to promote common sense policies geared toward protecting liberty, protecting the free enterprise system, and limiting the growth of the federal government. As a nurse, small business owner, mother and Member of Congress, she works each and every day to make our nation live up to its creed as the guardian of liberty and foundation for prosperity.

Before her election to Congress, Renee served as a registered nurse for over twenty-one years, initially as a surgical intensive care nurse and then focusing on surgical and wound care patients along with her husband Dr. Brent Ellmers in their General Surgery practice. She never saw herself as a politician, nor dreamed that she would be elected to federal office, but felt the call to action as she saw her industry and life’s work coming under attack. In 2009, she and her husband attended a town hall meeting on President Obama’s health care plan and came away distraught over the government’s impending takeover of patients’ rights and access to health care.

Congresswoman Ellmers has always been a proactive leader in her community, where she instinctively incorporated new solutions and innovative tactics to make people’s lives better. Before her election to Congress, Ellmers had been a champion of community affairs by being very active in the Dunn Chamber of Commerce, reaching the level of President-Elect. She has also served on the Dunn Planning Board, a founding Board Member of the Betsy Johnson Hospital Foundation and the Harnett County Nursing Home Committee.

Originally born and raised in Michigan, Congresswoman Ellmers received her nursing degree from Oakland University. Mrs. Ellmers and her husband Brent moved to North Carolina following the birth of their son Ben and have resided in Harnett County ever since."

Immigration

The immigration issue affects many facets of our nation. It is an economic issue, an education issue, a national security issue and a health care issue. Our economy cannot withstand the strain of so many illegals. Our schools cannot handle the overcrowded classrooms. Our hospitals are taxed beyond the abilities and those who wish to do us harm can easily cross our porous borders.

America must protect and defend its borders. The unwillingness of the federal government to enforce our immigration laws makes it easier for terrorists to cross our borders and cause us harm. It also burdens taxpayers with higher costs in public safety, education, health care and other areas.

I oppose amnesty for illegal immigrants. We must implement a strong employment verification system that allows for companies to check whether or not they are hiring legal workers and those who hire illegal workers should face stiff penalties.

Just a thought: Ellmers should and must be held to account for her stand on the issues by voters in her District.

Helping the Administration to bring another Democrat to Washington to replace her may not be the best solution, however.

Ellmers Berates Constituents for Opposing Amnesty: You Don't Have Any Damn Facts!

All right a*****e, give us the facts. Don't hold back. Just make sure your "facts" are verifiable.

Saying crap like "The Obamacare Web site is functioning perfectly" are NOT FREAKING FACTS!

This faker has been bought and sold.

Her staff is as indignant as she is. The snarky staffer put up an argument and said illegals will not self deport, because life here is so much better and that we don’t have Americans who will do the work they’re (illegals) are doing. I said...I have two words for you that will take care of BOTH issues...welfare reform.

If you take away welfare from the illegals AND from the Americans who CAN but WON’T do the work, problem will be pretty much solved. The staffer reluctantly agreed.

Ellmers exploded at one of the activists when he said that employers – who often claim a labor shortage to argue for amnesty

Yeah, with unemployment at least twice as high as it was just 6 years ago, we have a "labor shortage". Mm hmmm. Maybe the activists simply badgered her until she snapped, and that was their goal all along.
