ABC Family Pulls Plug on Alice in Arabia After Muslim Org Backlash
Just days after the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-LA) expressed concerns over potential stereotyping in the pilot for ABC Familys Alice in Arabia and requested a meeting with execs, the network has decided not to pursue the show that had been announced Monday.
An ABC Family spokesperson said Friday, The current conversation surrounding our pilot was not what we had envisioned and is certainly not conducive to the creative process, so weve decided not to move forward with this project.
The shows premise centered on an American teen kidnapped by her Saudi Arabian family after tragedy befalls her parents.
The pilot was penned by Brooke Eikmeier, who served in the U.S. Army as a cryptologic linguist in the Arabic language and trained to support NSA missions in the Middle East.
CAIR previously challenged actual and potential anti-Muslim stereotypes in Executive Decision, 24, The Siege, True Lies, Rules of Engagement, Obsession, The Third Jihad, Jihad in America and The Sum of All Fears. The org has also acted as a consultant on films including DreamWorks Animations The Prince of Egypt.
CAIR = TERRORISTS!
I am hearing commercials about the new news network in America, people! ALJAZERA AMERICA
Two questions:
1. Why it this topic even worthy of air time. (Why did ABC green light this project in the first place)
2. Why did ABC buckle under so quickly? CAIR probably threatened the executives and their families. If the subject was about Christians, would double down on their efforts to broadcast in the face of opposition.
The only way to stop this kind of Muslim psycho-terrorism is to pressure the news channel and their sponsors. Maybe Glenn Beck will pick it up on the Blaze.
Make no mistake - Islam is out to conquer America by stealth, pressure, money and terror.
The ABC AntiFamily channel rolled over to those MORONS, if I was the head of it, I would tell CAIR, that I CAIRLess about your feelings on an American show and if you don't like it, go back to your assbackward nation you came from.
ABC Cancels Anti-Christian Good Christian Belles Television Show
Sometimes a network will listen to people. I think if Christians can complain about a TV show, then so can others. Of course, the ratings for GCB sucked. That might have had something to do with it.
That network is going “quackers” again. Some folks never learn that Libtardism is no longer acceptable.
I do hope Americans will light up their computers until the servers melt.
When foreign supported terrorists orgs can tell our networks what is OK to show.. welll..
ya all may want to consider taking up a new language.. called wtf?
