That's what I don't get. They praise Putin for demonstrating strong leadership, which is really nothing but brazen cunning. Then, Putinistas lash out at neo-Cons for not wanting to see Putin re-establish a Russian empire based on his autocracy. Then, mock Obama for being weak. If Putinistas favor the reestablishment of a Russian hegemonic power, they should be happy that a weak and foolish Obama is in charge. He is Putin's dupe as much as they are.
Putinsistas also miss the fact that both Obama and Putin seek to weaken to strengthen the government in all ways. Obama is the near threat. Putin is the far one.
