Politicians, just by nature, are corrupt. Sad, but true.
...and then there’s the ETF and windfarms, not to mention those squirrely Ag loans Perry was involved in when he was the Ag Commissioner.
Hmmmm, Hardhaters? Let me guess, Unions spreading dirt that may or may not be dirt. Nothing new here.
This and other articles lambasting anyone with an R after their name just tells me that the “news” media are doubling down and moving to destroy any Repub who tries to run against the media’s queen (Hitlery).
The problem is with the very existence of the TEF. Once Texas decides to have such a fund, the anti-Perry press would probably find some kind of cronyism link with whatever company was given an award. Most major company’s officers make political campaign contributions to politicians who support their kinds of businesses, whether they get crony grants or not. I find it absurd to try and make a big deal out of a $4,000 contribution by a CEO who is probably worth millions.
I am opposed to ANY government fund like TEF. The government has no business picking winners and losers.
Texas has been eroding for years, invaded from both the South and the North. Now the West as well.
It is not what it was.
