Some people in Kentucky have “figured it out”. I’m one of them. It’s real simple. Rand Paul supports Mitch McConnell because he thinks Mitch McConnell will be re-elected and will, therefore, be in a good position to help him, Rand Paul, achieve his presidential ambitions. Paul obviously places his personal welfare before what’s best for the citizens of Kentucky. It’s no more complicated that that.

I am in Kentucky.

I think Rand Paul is the best thing to come out of this state in a very long time. That being said, prior to the Tea Party McConnell was about as good as it could get. I'm thinking I won't vote for Mitch in the primary, I truthfully haven't decided yet. I'm sour on Mitch but he has done a lot of good in the past, I'm reluctant to fire someone who has done so much good. Remember that it was McConnell who sued over McCain Finegold and went all the way to the Supreme Court.

There are many things worse than a Senator McConnell. Regardless while I am a conservative I will vote for the candidate whomever it is that wins the Republican Primary.
