But the mercy of the Lord
is from everlasting to everlasting
upon them that fear Him,
and His righteousness unto childrens children;
to such as keep His covenant,
and to those that remember
His commandments to do them.
Psalm 103:17-18

Holy God,
We treasure this promise from Your Word for it reaches to the depths of our hearts. In these days of turmoil, rapid change, strife, and uncertainty, we look to You for mercy and shelter from the cultural decline of our nation. And we thank You, Lord, that Your Word tells us that Your mercy is upon us, our children, and our grandchildren as we walk in obedience to You. Such knowledge is too wonderful to imagine, but we know that it is true. Even as we realize what a mess our grandchildren will inherit, yet we have the promise that You will show them mercy and help them even long after we have passed away. Father, the depth of Your love for us knows no bounds. We serve a mighty and awesome God.
Thank You, Lord, for caring for the children of our military men and women. Send people to help out the wives and husbands who wait for their loved ones to return home. Give aid and comfort to the children, Lord, who miss their mother or father. Grant each family a happy reunion at the appointed time.
Father, may Your mercies and grace be shown toward Israel as You continue to protect and defend her. We pray that the Gospel would be shared and accepted by all the sons and daughters of Abraham and Sarah.
Forgive our nation, Lord, for our miserable slide away from You. We are struggling and are in desperate need of repentance. Help us, Lord. Give us the desire to return to the center of Your will.
Lord, may You be glorified in all places of Your dominion. We bless You, Lord, and we forget not all Your benefits. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

PRAYERS ASCENDING ON HIGH FOR OUR AMERICAN HEROES AND FOR OUR BELOVED NATION!
GEN. GEORGE WASHINGTON THE PRAYER AT VALLEY FORGE "Let Tyrants Shake Their Iron Rod" William Billings Mixed District Choir, Fairfax, Virginia (Click)
IN THE COLDEST and darkest days of the American Revolution, General George Washington raised his prayers for the survival of his beleaguered Army and of the new Nation. The Lord answered those prayers, upheld his Army through a punishing nadir to everlasting Glory, and bestowed His manifold benefits upon the new Nation.

FROM THE BRAVE, albeit weary, ill-equipped, and untrained volunteers who marched into Valley Forge on 19 December 1777 arose, with the help of some gallant friends from across the waves, the cohesive fighting force that became the United States Army, global defender of Freedom and scourge of Tyrants.
AS GENERAL WASHINGTON lifted his prayers on high in that bleak Winter, let our prayers now rise like a fountain for our Heroes in the American Armed Forces who seek to secure the benefits of Freedom on behalf of a people hungry for them. Father, look on our prayers for them with favor, guide their steps in righteousness and envelop them in the shelter of Your Healing Wings. Bless and uphold them in the performance of their Mission. Through Jesus Christ, Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.

HEAVENLY FATHER, Lord of the Nations, unto Your Divine Mercy we commend the souls of these valiant men and women who have fallen in the service of our Beloved Nation and in defense of the Freedoms we hold dear. We pray that You gather them in Your loving embrace, that You cause Your Countenance to shine upon them, and that You vouchsafe their souls to dwell eternally in Your Divine Presence. Through Jesus Christ Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.

Perspective From The Clouds
March 17, 2014
Read: Job 3:3-5; 42:5-6
In 1927 the silent film Wings, a World War I film about two American aviators, won the first Academy Award for Best Picture. When it was being filmed, production stopped for several days. Frustrated producers asked the director why. He responded: All we have is blue sky. The conflict in the air will not be as visible without clouds. Clouds bring perspective. He was right. Only by seeing aerial combat with clouds as a backdrop could the viewer see what was really going on.
We often wish for blue skies instead of storm clouds. But cloudy skies may reveal Gods faithfulness. We gain perspective on how God has been faithful in our trials as we look back on the clouds.
At the beginning of his terrible suffering, Job lamented: May the day perish on which I was born . . . . May a cloud settle on it (Job 3:3-5). His experience of despair continued for a long time until God spoke. Then Job exclaimed, I have heard of You . . . but now my eye sees You (42:5). Job had encountered the sovereign Creator, and that changed his perspective on Gods purposes.
Do clouds of trouble fill your skies today? Sooner than you think, God may use these clouds to help you gain perspective on His faithfulness.
God, give us wings to rise above
The clouds of trial that block the sun,
To soar above gray skies and see
The love and goodness of Your Son. Sper
Often the clouds of sorrow reveal the sunshine of His face. Jasper
