"Ngô Đình Diệm was the first president of South Vietnam. In the wake of the French withdrawal from Indochina as a result of the 1954 Geneva Accords, Diệm led the effort to create the Republic of Vietnam. " I had to wiki it. But I was born in 1969.

I’m old enough to remember Ngo Dinh Diem. And keep in mind that we’ve seen the exact same thing before. In 1998 Bill Clinton sent James Carville to Israel to interfere with their elections and make sure Netanyahu was thrown out. How did that work out? Well, none of the three guys who followed Netanyahu as prime minister were very successful at stopping the terrorist menace; that’s why Netanyahu is back now.
