MURRAY, Ky. (AP) - Texas Gov. Rick Perry threw his support behind U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell on Saturday, telling 300 fellow Republicans that the minority leader will win re-election.

McConnell finds himself in a GOP primary fight with wealthy businessman Matt Bevin, who attended the event but wasn’t allowed to speak.

Remember when there were conservatives on those shows?

Yes I do, or at least they were not openly at war with Conservatism. The old Crossfire, Huntly-Brinkley, even McGlaughlin Group.

Yeah, no kidding. I was chastised by one who said I was helping Christie and Jeb -— they’re all the same.

Some are worse. I was accused by one kooky Perrybot of wanting Texas females to die of cancer because I opposed Rino Rick's executive order to give Ghardasil to an unwanting public. Never mind that the Texas legislature, which was predominately Republican, voted 30-1 to overturn the executive order. I guess they also wanted Texas women to die of cancer. Such is the mind of a Perrybot.

If Perry had his way Ted Cruz would never have been elected to the Senate.

RINO Rick's comment when Sarah Palin endorsed Ted Cruz:

“Come to Texas and learn how to do it right, but don’t come down here and tell us who needs to be our next United States senator, thank you very much." ~RINO Rick Perry

This was a battle he really didn't need to get into and then he picks the wrong side.

RINO it is for Perry, kind of a shame.

Hiya South. Yeah, some ‘minds’ huh? Anyone who supports this NWO globalist La Raza Ricardo Peryyista is not supporting the United States of America. If one supports La Raza Ricky, they also support our Nation being over run by the criminal illegal invading aliens from Mexico. Since RickEEEE is in bed with those criminal alien invaders ‘leaders’, his supporters can be looked at in no differently. This invasion has got to be stopped once and for all. Our Country’s survival in the long run depends on it. With RickEEEE in charge, it will only gain more steam.

Still doubters out there about Perry's RINOcity?

Never any doubt in my household. Never have voted for him.

“Nor will Rand Paul, I assume. Because Rand Paul also endorsed McConnell.”

Except that Rand did it before McConnel had any primary challengers. Now Perry is doing it while the fire is getting hot!

Other than that, they are exactly thet same.

Hi Bobby, how have you been, my FRiend?

Right you are. Señor Perry has a record of supporting ILLEGAL invaders over American citizens. Sure, he'll try to justify it by saying it is good for his state. That, of course, is a lie. But most importantly, what is good for his state is clearly not good for America.

Notice how his most ardent supporters have been absent from this and a similar thread? They've yet to figure out how to defend this latest affront on the TEA Party by Perry, the man who, if he had his way would not have seen Ted Cruz go to the senate.

Ricky, you disappoint me. Bevins is better as a Senator then those two Dems.

You are right about the 2003 special sessions of the legislature. The Dems fled to Ardmore and Albuquerque to try to block action.

Perry supported Dewhurst after Hutchison finally bowed out; of course he beat Hutchison himself two years earlier despite GHWB’s preference for Hutchison.

Dewhurst is an establishment moderate who fought conservatives in Austin for billions more in spending. That’s exactly why limited-government conservatives throughout Texas supported Ted Cruz. LaRaza Rick did not. That, and his well-known record of being pro-ILLEGAL alien, precludes, in the minds of many conservatives, Perry from any consideration for POTUS.

Never understood what the heck changed her into an unrelenting LIB? Anyone know the story!!!

After one term in the House, Huffington spent $28 million in a bid for a seat in the United States Senate in 1994. In the Republican primary, he defeated William E. Dannemeyer. At the time, Huffington's was the most expensive campaign in a non-presidential election in American history. Huffington lost in the general election by 1.9 percent of the vote to Dianne Feinstein.[4]

He was outed as a homosexual and everything went down hill from there.
