So let me get this straight (no pun intended), the St Paddy's Day parade is a celebration of Irish heritage. But since gays can't celebrate gaydom at the Irish St Paddy's Day parade, and gaydom is not Irish, these sponsor are pulling out? And it is my understanding that gays can participate, the organizers just don't want the Irish parade to become a gay parade. I guess I don't understand tolerance.

That's what is so irritating.

Nobody, I mean NOBODY is "preventing" gays from participating.

They just have to celebrate St. Paddy's day

And leave the dick cannons, and public nudity at home.

For gays who CLAIM to be "just like everyone else", WHY does EVERY "gay float" happen, just HAPPEN to be in your face sexual?

Even at the Million Man March, you didn't see participants running around in blackface costumes.
