Major benefit cheats are to have their assets seized by bailiffs as part of a new crackdown on the £1.2 billion scandal.

The Department of Work and Pensions is to use new powers to access the credit rating references of fraudsters to target their cars, computers, state-of-the-art TVs and other high value items.

Sources said the new access would allow officials to target those with valuable assets.

The spokesman said: ‘Getting the welfare budget under control is a key part of our long-term plan for the economy. We want to end the something for nothing culture and deliver for people who want to work hard and play by the rules.

Recent cases have found individuals claiming multiple benefits for years despite having full time jobs, property portfolios and undeclared capital.

Sly Malik, 49, of Barking was ordered to pay back more than £1million within 12 months or face five years in prison after being found guilty of 12 charges of benefit fraud in October 2012.

Malik claimed jobseeker’s allowance and housing benefit, despite owning nine properties, running several companies and having more than 70 bank accounts hiding more than £200,000.

I could not in my imagination conjure a more appropriate name for a fraudster than Sly Malik.

Why are the Brits getting the message while here we are expanding the system?

When America first had “state” welfare...

State agents would show up at your house or apartment, without an appointment, to inspect everything. To include what kind of dresses you had in the closet to the food in the cabinets.

As someone else said, "Because we have Obama and they don't".

Not to mention we have Obama's hero Eric Holder to go after anyone who commits the racist acts of going after those who steal even more from the system that the government steals to supply the system.

The Brits are not "getting the message", they are at the point in the Socialist tyranny time line where the Socialist government no longer needs the votes of these Useful Idiots, so they are double crossed and used to raise the societal crime rate (their new source of income), resulting in new laws and more police for everybody.

Socialists always turn on, and destroy, their supporters, always.
