Republicans ? Yes
But the NRA? You’ve drunk the Koolaid. Watch where you get your info.
Thank you Mr Alinsky. Have you ever lobbied for a progun organization at the GA legislature? No? I have. And I can assure you that the NRA lobbiests go around making all sorts of anti-gun "compromises" rather than holding the hard line. SO unless you know what you're talking about, which you obviously don't, I suggest you stick your Kool Aid, back in your pocket.
I believe the NRA was established after zlincoln sought to solve the experienced problem of lack of shooting skills during the Civil War. It was a sort of addendum to the second amendment but with some strings attached. it has morphed since then into a litigation branch, not an all out blocker of government harassment but a manager of such.
Check your history... the NRA has, under he guise of “giving a little to prevent worse”, betrayed the 2nd Amendment more than once...
NRA has been known to advocate for regulated gun freedoms. For safety and for Political expediency.
I have argued with plenty of NRA types who want back ground checks and certifications to carry weapons.
That is clearly not a 2nd Amendment stance.
