I read an article once about Burning Man. Everyone attending iirc has to be able to provide something to the effort. Money is not used - you exchange services/ barter. Lots of people have things set up for business with t-shirts, food, etc.

People that are more “spectators” still have to “provide” something if they want something (like food, etc.). IIRC a joke, a “smile”, etc. are all worthwhile for certain things. It sounds like a big hippie-fest, but underneath is the old “you don’t get something for nothing” attitude.

Yeah there are several FReepers that attend, can’t remember their names...just surprised that it’s turned into a Democrat love fest...used to be very anti-govt.
