Actually, the ex-President for quite some time was passing ever more harsh laws against his political opponents and protesting of any sort. If the U.S. was involved in anything, it was against the developing tyranny of the Russian puppet. The Puppet Putinistas don't know anything about Ukraine.
Putinistas ignore the actual events and history of Ukraine. I understand their anger with the nitwit and Carterized Obama. But allowing one’s self to be duped by Putin is as bad as being an Obamabot.

Also lost in the propaganda noise is the fact the EU agreement included many anti-corruption reforms the government would have to institute. Many Ukrainians favored the EU deal just for the benefit of these reforms. Both were against the oligarchy.
