I can’t remember the last time I heard about one of these “incidents” that DIDN’T turn out to be a hoax. Hoax is the norm now.
The trouble with these hoax stories, is that the SRM will run this on the front page. If a retraction is ever issued, it will be buried in the web page or back of a paper. The original message will never die.
