I’ve seen some really nice people have some really awful kids. I’ve seen some really nice kids who had parents with big problems. I’ve seen some really troubled kids with divorced parents. I’ve seen some really good kids with divorced parents. I grew up in the time frame when divorce became common. My own personal experience was, stay away from the boys whose parents were getting divorced. They were mad and scared and most boys don’t know how to deal with those emotions. So, they take it out on other boys. There’s something more going on with Lanza. He went against some liberal theory.

Conspiracy theory: Certain people in control now are willing to do anything to outlaw guns. 1)They comb the CDC database for violent, mentally disturbed people who have answered yes to having access to guns. 2)They alter patients medications to enhance the violence. 3)Do this with 4 or 5 people across the US and see if one or more goes postal. 4)If one goes berserk, have teams ready to move in to ‘help’ the local and state anti gun folks push for bans. 5) Take control of the cleanup. Autopsy shows nothing in the system. Sandy Hook attack didn't feature assault rifles but that is the excuse used for banning them. The more dead the greater the impact. One child worth 10 adults! Flame away!

I don’t know if the fathers absence was an issue or not.
What I do know is that the father should never have given those interviews. Extremely poor form to speak about your dead son that way. Keep your big stupid mouth shut and pray for your son and his victims. The whole thing was self serving IMHO.
