How could metro Chicago not take a dive with its crime rate, winter weather and taxes?
Living about 150 miles away, I find the place impossible to explain. Expensive real estate, high taxes of all types, high cost of living, lots of crime, lousy weather much of the year, etc.
I can't really understand how so many people find living there rewarding.
