I'm trying to figure out why they would need four (or more) terrorists to bring down an aircraft in a manner that didn't involve a hijacking.

I'm assuming it wasn't a hijacking because I figured that probably wouldn't have resulted in the sudden, catastrophic demise of the aircraft.

Well, I don’t know, they are saying that same airline had a plane crash during a highjacking some years ago.

I suppose if the pilots resist they can lose control and the plane can crash, although clearly that is not the intent of a highjacking.

It’s pretty interesting that not much information is being revealed about 5 people who did not board and their luggage was taken off the aircraft.
