(Reuters) - Pope Francis has played down the notion that he is a "superman" who will bring sweeping reforms to the Roman Catholic Church, stressing that its ban on contraception and opposition to gay marriage will remain in place.

It is a story about Reuters.

The issue is Reuters. The story is Reuters. (And the AP, etc.)
The Church does not have a “ban” on contraception.
That’s like saying that the Church has a “ban” on perjury, or adultery, or murder.
So, he’s saying Superman would be pro-gay and pro-abortion? I knew there was a reason I preferred Marvel over D.C.

That is what amazes me about the leftists, the churches and synagogues and temples can stamp their feet and yell at you for doing something sinful, but ONLY the state can prosecute you for it, but to the leftists they are so insecure in their tenuous grip on power they see the church as competition to the state telling you what to do.
Of course when the state and the church are married like they are in the Islamic countries, they get right behind them even though those countries go out and kill G’Hey folks.
But the churches speak out against teaching “G’Hey there sailor” behavior in school and it is like a epic level hissy fit from them.
