I tend to agree. I’ll never support Ryan on the national stage, and dismiss easily his positions on things like amnesty, but his budget stuff IS worth listening to and repeating. Not because it comes from. Ryan, but because it happens to be right on the money.
I also remember pretty well how he owned Obama, to Obama’s face, at that health care dog/pony show years ago.
He was very good on the health care matter. I think, unfortunately, one of the problems with Ryan on the national stage is that he comes off as what he is, kind of a policy wonk, and doesn’t really have the ability to get people behind his ideas.
Americans, unfortunately, have switched to wanting glib celebrities with no experience and no knowledge as their political chiefs.
