Midway through the segment, Mr. Kimmel then ushered Mr. Ford to a television screen where the late night host exhibited a series of now-famous videos showing the mayor drunkenly threatening to kill someone, speaking in Jamaican patois at an Etobicoke diner or knocking over a councilmember in city hall chambers....

As revealed on the Monday night segment, the mayor had agreed to do the show after he was personally contacted by Mr. Kimmel on his cell phone. The Toronto mayor is well known for widely distributing his cell phone number to constituents.

“When you say ‘jump’ I say ‘how high?’” said Mr. Ford. “You call Rob Ford and I guarantee I’ll return your call and go right to your front door to serve you.”

“Realistically, how high can you jump?” quipped Mr. Kimmel....

Mr. Ford first arrived in Los Angeles on Saturday, where he was met at LAX by Mr. Kimmel dressed as a chauffeur and holding a sign reading “Ford.”

Over the next three days, Mr. Ford was alternately spotted giving autographs to Los Angelinos, visiting Los Angeles City Hall and granting a series of televised interviews on Hollywood Boulevard. On Twitter, Mr. Ford said this was done to tell “people what a great destination Toronto is for the movie & tourist industries.”...

Gotta be honest, saw this just a few hours ago, and it was one of the more entertaining pieces on TV lately.

Ford went in, took the hits gracefully, and came off as a pretty normal guy. He's even got good comedic timing, with that impersonation video of the councillor drunk-driving (who was later charged).

Anybody else see it? Opinions?

Rob Ford is hilarious. I’d love to have him as a mayor. He is a conservative mayor that cut taxes so the Toronto liberal misfits have always been gunning for him

The funniest video is when he had a reggae group in the city council chambers and had everyone dancing around

I much rather be governed by a conservative buffoon than a liberal buffoon

Yup, they were playing Bob Marley, Ford started dancing, and the black guy starts dancing with him!

They showed that one too, but Ford said it actually happened in Austin Texas.

He certainly seems to have a lot of personality, CC. That being said, he should really consider getting himself some professional help to dry out. IMHO, he doesn’t look good to me.. puffy, red etc.. He did come off as a normal guy with a big sense of humor. Imagine how great he could be without those demons.

hahaha... ewww... he won't...

but anyway, i enjoy some of Jimmy Fallon's stuff... his sketch comedy is good... he did say that the most memorable episode of SNL for him was when Sarah Palin was a guest...
