Yeah, but did Sarah ever correct her nasal screech impediment.

As the House of Commons said about Maggie Thatcher..."the Lady doth screech too much..." Maggie fixed hers...and then won.

But Sarah hung on to her screech. Too busy to fix it.

After all, those who love her, loved her screech.

But of course, she never got elected.

But she got rich...and kept her screech.;-)

When you crow, what accent do you have?

Some of what you say could apply to almost every female politican or public speaker. Women need to avoid sounding shrill (that’s just a fact) when giving speeches. They can, and probably should learn to speak in a lower register.

However, Sarah has no “nasal screech impediment” — nor does she have a speech impediment. She does have a regional accent — an accent that sounds perfectly fine to me, as someone who lived next door to Alaska for decades, and spent a fair amount of time there.

Sarah’s speaking patterns have become part of her brand — you betcha!
