I am sorry, I was being very facetious and sardonic....I, (when I think MY intention is obviously obvious) sometimes neglect the ‘sarcasm’ tag....
Perhaps it is me that owes the apology to you. For what it's worth, how far it could go, I do offer apology, to you.
With so many others turning on the U.S. and "the West" generally on these pages here of late, for a moment it was almost difficult to tell (that you were being facetious).

W surrounded himself with enough people who carried old-school diplomacy in their veins.
Obama has Valerie Jarret -- and appointed the conniving liar Hillary (Rodham) Clinton as Sec. of State, for reasons of pure political convenience to himself and the far left wing of the Democrat Party (so that that "Left" could tighten their stranglehold).
Obama's somewhat recent choice of words to Russia has simply played into the most strident of the xenophobic, West-hating mindset. Things could have been expressed differently.
The man is an asshole.
