Well, your statement is mostly false. The panels operate in the UV range and UV substantially comes through the fog. If you think I’m wrong, go lay out on the beach there when the fog is in and get a sunburn!

Really. I guess I’m not the only one to remember that Half Moon Bay is foggy a great deal of the time. That guy is a fool in more ways than one to be installing big-bucks solar in that location. Also, if he’s close to the sea, I would imagine a salt crust would be deposited on the panels and have to be manually rinsed during periods of little rain.
