The following statement made my jaw drop.
“Since the seventies the gay community in the United States has arrogated to itself the right to speak on behalf of all homosexuals in order to destroy marriage and the family,” he told the Catholic paper. At the start, they were aided by the feminist movement that preceded their own, he said, and have moved from the US to Europe with the help of “astronomical” funding from the EU.
Back in the late 60's, I had an Italian immigrant friend. In Italy, he explained, students are given a classical education. Over the span of two years, one year each is devoted to studying Ancient Rome and Greece. This entails all aspects of that culture. After surveying the American political landscape, he pointed to ancient history. He went on to explain that in both the Ancient Roman and Greek civilizations, each time women rose to power, they were soon followed by a rise in homosexual activists, after which their social structures collapsed. He then noted how [then] contemporary US feminists were following the same pattern and predicted that in my lifetime, I would witness the collapse of American society. At the time, I laughed. This young man's statement corroborates precisely what my immigrant friend said nearly 50 years ago!
