This is the main risk with untested candidates. I’d like to see RINO Cornyn offloaded as well, but comments like these will come back to haunt Mapp in the general election if he gets the nomination.

As much as we might toss those terms around here in FR, that’s not the kind of verbiage that gets you elected.

Mapp won’t win the primary. But he could force Cornyn into a runoff which would be a lot of fun.

You don't live in Texas do you? This is just one of the stories on-line about what Texas Ranchers face, chosen at random for expediency. Things are much worse now.

In Texas, nearly 8,200 farms and ranches back up to the Mexican border.

The men and women who live and work on those properties say they’re under attack from the same drug cartels blamed for thousands of murders in Mexico.

“It’s a war, make no mistake about it,” Texas Agriculture Commissioner Todd Staples said. “And it’s happening on American soil.”

Texas farmers and ranchers produce more cotton and more cattle than any other state, so Staples is concerned this war could eventually impact our food supply, and calls it a threat to our national security.

“Farmers and ranchers are being run off their own property by armed terrorists showing up and telling them they have to leave their land,” Staples said.

There are probably more people who agree with what he said than many may think.

What is wrong about using proper names instead of made-up names? ILLEGAL immigrants from Mexico were called 'wetbacks' for ages. Now people get their panties in a knot about that. And it is ILLEGAL to enter without documentation, my house or my country. So I can't shoot someone invading my house? Really? And by extension I can't shoot someone invading my country? Really? Men do what men have to do, whether defending their home or their country. People who do not understand this are in the way of civilization and culture and there are consequences.

This guy is going to give Cornyn the poseur a run. Aks yourself why that is.

I dont think Mapp is trying to get into second place. If it does get him in to second place at least force a runoff good for him.

There probably is 10 or 20% who might vote for him based on this and get the challengers totals above 50%.
