Jesse Spielman, Paul Cortez and James Barker are serving lengthy sentences in the military prison at Fort Leavenworth, Kan., for their roles in the attack. Each is eligible for parole in 2015.

What? 2015? Next year? For being involved in the mass murder of an entire family? What?

Yeah. They were prosecuted under the UCMJ in 2006. l think they were involved only in the rape and not the murders. (Only. [*spits*] As if that weren’t bad enough.)

In 1968, 1LT William Calley was involved in the mass murder of an entire village, and the only punishment he received was three and a half years of house arrest.

I still can't get my head around that one.
