National Security Adviser Susan Rice was in the headlines again this week, this time for saying in an interview with NBCs David Gregory that she has no regrets about her remarks on Benghazi. It was a softball interview, to be sureand Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., wasnt happy about it, to say the least.
Theres not a scintilla of evidence to support that false narrative of a video Gowdy told Fox News host Greta Van Susteren. All of the evidence pointed exactly to what she claimed it wasnt: a preplanned, coordinate attack. So she was fabulously wrong when she said it the first time and stunningly arrogant in her refusal to express any regret for lying to our fellow citizens.
So what happens now? Van Susteren asked.
I would love the chance to ask follow-up questions of Susan Rice, because David Gregory apparently did not avail himself of that opportunity, he continued, referencing Sundays interview. Greta, I just listened to the the clip. I get tougher questions in the Bojangles drive-thru than he asked her.
Theres no regret about lying to your fellow citizens? Gowdy continued. No regret about the fact that in 18 months, not a single solitary person has been brought to justice? No regret for misleading the families and the loved ones of those four murdered Americans? I can certainly help her if she is struggling to come up with an area of regret.
The majority of Americans believe Congress should continue investigating Benghazi. And fortunately, there are still members of Congress like Gowdy out there that are just as passionate today as they were when the attack happened about seeking the truth and justice.
If you did, rep G., your secret efforts to establish amnesty would be more widely known
Pshaw
Steve King trolled the crap out of Gowdy. Steve King is just a ditch digger from Iowa. Rank and File Republicans are stealing talking points from Steve King on GOP division and going to conference on Amnesty with Chuck Schumer.

And while King has said he has the muscle to sink any piecemeal immigration bill, Gowdy scoffed.
The number of people who have a Steve King precise ideology on immigration isnt going to be sufficient to sink anything.
Until I see this happen, it's all theatre.
What a great line from Trey. Great line, but sadly it’s true.
Great line... I think I get harder questions then Obama at a news conferenceat McDonald’s.
Until I see this happen, it’s all theatre.

Sadly, I think it is just bluster. They just want talk like they are acting tough.
You are correct sir and they think we don’t see it. Also - the phoniness of these staged affairs just allows the press to reinforce the charge that these hearings come to nothing. Without subpoena’s or charges of Contempt of Congress - they mean absolutely nothing and are a waste of time and taxpayer dollars
You are correct sir....

Thanks. And I agree with all that you said, except I am a girl and not a sir. :)
I know, my stupid mistake in picking a handle that I now know sounds masculine.
Oh boy - sorry about that! Lemme guess, red hair? If not, I’ll just stop now.... :)
Oh, don’t apologize; the screen name does sound so masculine. I did not think of that when I chose it, as it is one of the nicknames my husband gave me many years ago when we had first met. Yes, red hair, and I am tall.
You mean...you’re NOT from Nebraska?
No, I am from Maryland. Is the U of Nebraska the college whose team is nicknamed Big Red?
Oooooh yeah...The Nebraska Cornhuskers, (The Huskers)
Go Big Red!
I thought Cornell was “Big Red?” Maybe there are several?
Is Cornell in Nebraska?
Of course Cornell isn’t in Nebraska, but it IS a college where its teams are called “Big Red.” So Nebraska isn’t that all unique in that sense.
Of course it is. It's right between McCook and Oberlin Kansas. Everybody knows that.
